Scope of Work

Premium Appliance Installs Inc. professionally installs major household appliances in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable California building codes.

Standard installation includes connecting appliances to existing, accessible, and code-compliant utilities. Structural modifications, cabinetry work, electrical upgrades, plumbing alterations, ventilation adjustments, or custom fabrication are not included unless explicitly stated in writing.

Customer Responsibilities

To ensure a successful installation, the customer is responsible for:

- Verifying appliance compatibility with existing electrical, plumbing, and ventilation systems
- Ensuring the installation area is clear, accessible, and safe
- Providing a clear path to the work area
- Ensuring all required utilities are functional and available

Failure to meet these conditions may result in additional labor charges, delays, or cancellation fees.

Installation Standards

All installations are performed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local code requirements.

If modifications are required to complete the installation safely and properly, additional charges will apply.

Appliance Classification & Pricing Adjustments

All estimates provided prior to arrival are based on standard appliance classifications and the information provided at the time of scheduling.

Final appliance classification, installation requirements, and pricing are confirmed on-site upon inspection by the installer.

Professional-grade, commercial-style, oversized, or specialty appliances are subject to higher installation rates due to increased labor, handling requirements, and liability.

This includes appliances with increased weight, non-standard dimensions, limited maneuverability, or specialized installation requirements (such as side-swing doors, integrated columns, or high-weight built-in refrigeration units).

Standard residential appliances, including typical single and double wall ovens with fold-down doors, are not considered professional-grade and are priced accordingly.

For clarification, single or double wall ovens equipped with side-swing doors (hinged doors that open left or right, rather than standard fold-down doors) are classified as professional-grade appliances due to increased handling complexity, limited maneuverability, and elevated installation risk. These units are not considered standard installations and are subject to adjusted pricing.

If the appliance differs from the original description or requires additional labor, handling, or modifications, pricing will be adjusted accordingly.

By proceeding with installation, the customer acknowledges and accepts any necessary pricing adjustments based on actual on-site conditions.

Access, Stairs & Handling Conditions

nstallation pricing includes standard ground-level access with one (1) step and one (1) door threshold.

Additional charges may apply for non-standard access conditions, including but not limited to:

- Additional stairs beyond one (1) step (interior or exterior)

- Multi-level installations

- Long carry distances from parking to installation area

- Tight spaces, narrow hallways, or difficult maneuvering conditions

- Obstacles requiring additional handling, protection, or disassembly

Additional charges may apply for appliance relocation from non-standard delivery locations, including but not limited to garages, separate structures, or areas outside the immediate installation space.

Difficult terrain such as gravel, uneven surfaces, inclines, soft ground, or extended outdoor transport paths may require additional labor, equipment, or manpower and will be billed accordingly.

Appliances requiring excessive weight handling, additional manpower, or specialized equipment will be subject to increased labor charges.

Stair-related charges are based on the number of steps, applia

nce weight, and overall handling difficulty, and will be assessed at the time of installation.

Final access conditions and any applicable fees are confirmed on-site at the time of installation.

Pre-Authorized Modifications & Additional Labor

By scheduling service, the customer authorizes Premium Appliance Installs Inc. to perform any necessary modifications, adjustments, or additional labor required to complete the installation safely, properly, and in accordance with code requirements.

If the customer is present on-site, they will be informed of any required modifications or additional labor and given the opportunity to approve prior to proceeding.

If the customer or contractor is not present, all necessary work is considered pre-authorized, and all associated charges are the responsibility of the customer.

All additional work will be documented and billed at standard company rates.

Payment Terms

Payment is due in full upon completion of installation unless otherwise agreed to in writing prior to the scheduled service.

Additional labor, modifications, materials, and service work are billed at standard company rates.

A standard administrative processing fee of $10 is applied to all transactions to cover scheduling, processing, and operational costs.

Any paid parking, tolls, or access-related fees required to perform the installation will be the responsibility of the customer and will be added to the final invoice. These costs are based on actual charges incurred at the time of service.

Failure to remit payment upon completion may result in administrative fees, collection costs, and applicable interest as permitted by law.

Accessory Installation (Handles, Panels, Trim Kits)

Installation of appliance accessories, including handles, panels, and trim kits, is not included in standard installation unless explicitly stated in writing.

Appliances requiring handle installation, panel installation, or trim kit assembly will be subject to a

dditional labor charges due to the precision, alignment, and care required to complete the installation properly.

All accessory installation will be performed at standard company rates and documented as part of the completed work.

Parts & Materials

Any parts or materials required to complete the installation are not included in standard installation unless explicitly stated in writing.

This includes, but is not limited to, water supply lines, gas flex connectors, electrical box connectors, electrical wiring, plugs, outlets, clamps, valves, pipe fittings, adapters, leveling materials (such as wood shims), framing materials (including dimensional lumber such as 2x4), and any additional hardware required for a safe and code-compliant installation.

Parts supplied from installer truck stock will be billed separately at standard company rates. Pricing for these items may exceed typical retail pricing due to availability, convenience, and immediate installation.

By proceeding with installation, the customer acknowledges and accepts any material costs required to complete the job without delay.

Packaging Handling & Disposal

Removal and disposal of appliance packaging materials, including cardboard, styrofoam, plastic wrap, and pallets, is not included in standard installation unless explicitly stated in writing.

As a courtesy, packaging materials may be consolidated and packed into the largest available box on-site to minimize space and improve handling.

At the customer’s request, packaging may either be left on-site or removed for disposal. Additional charges may apply for breakdown, handling, or haul-away services due to the volume and disposal requirements of these materials.

On-Site Conditions, Cancellation & Rescheduling

If installation cannot be completed due to site conditions, refusal of required modifications, incorrect appliance specifications, damaged products, or inaccessible work areas, a $99 on-site cancellation fee will apply.

Gas Shut-Off & Restoration

If gas service is shut off during installation, Premium Appliance Installs Inc. will restore gas service upon completion of the installation.

We verify connections for proper operation and check for visible leaks at the time of service. However, we are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, aging gas lines, or hidden leaks that may develop outside of our installation work.

If any issues arise beyond the scope of the installation, a licensed plumber or gas provider may be required.

Warranty Coverage

A 1-Year Installation Warranty covers workmanship related to installation, including proper connections, wiring, leveling, and mounting in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local code.

Leak coverage at connection points is provided for 45 days from the date of installation.

Warranty Voidance

The installation warranty is void if the appliance or installation is modified, adjusted, or serviced by any party other than Premium Appliance Installs Inc., or if we are not given the opportunity to inspect and address the issue.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

- Pre-existing conditions

- Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or external factors

- Issues related to household systems (plumbing, electrical, ventilation)

- Corroded components, clogged air gaps, or existing defects

Limitations of Liability

Premium Appliance Installs Inc. is not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing electrical, plumbing, or structural conditions.

Any claims for damage must be reported within 48 hours of installation.

Liability Disclaimer

We are not liable for pilot light relighting, thermocouple failure, or any repairs beyond restoring connections and ensuring safe installation.

Any costs associated with appliance repairs, inspections, or utility provider services are the responsibility of the property owner.

Documentation

All work performed may be documented with photos and job records. This documentation serves as verification of completed work, site conditions, and any additional labor performed.

Customer Acceptance

By scheduling service or proceeding with installation, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions in full.
